Rachael’s film entry into Roger Corman’s Short Film Festival.
Legendary Director, Producer and Actor Roger Corman created the “Corman Challenge” Film Festival; challenging filmmakers to create a short film short while in Quarantine – in their home or backyard, on a cell phone and remaining under two minutes in runtime.
Rachael’s submission ‘Finding Sunshine’ was shot, directed, edited and acted in by Rachael and focuses on the feeling of being away from loved ones, the feeling of gratitude for safety and for having those loved ones just a call away, the importance of connection, reflection and of keeping in touch.
Rachael’s objective with this film was to bring a smile to people’s faces and spread a little joy, by capturing what brought (and still brings) sunshine into her life and encouraging others to share their love and their “sunshine” with their families and with the world.
Rachael dedicates this film to anyone working on the frontlines and in Healthcare during the global pandemic and always, and a special credit to a family member who works in Healthcare.
